Day 1: Arusha
AFRICAN SAFARIS AND ADVENTURES will meet you on arrival in Arusha and transfer you to Mountain Village Lodge, set on a working coffee plantation at the foot of Mount Meru.

On a clear Day, Mt. Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro can both be seen from the lush and beautiful grounds of the lodge which overlook Lake Duluti.

Day 2/3: Tarangire
After breakfast, a 3-hr drive takes you to Sopa Lodge in Tarangire. In the dry season the wildlife knows that there is always water in Tarangire and, in consequence, large numbers of animals including elephant, wildebeest, gazelle, buffalo, eland, zebra and oryx gather at the shrinking pools and drying river bed.

Tarangire's pythons climb trees, as do its lions and leopards, lounging in the branches where the fruit of the sausage tree disguises the twitch of a tail! 550 bird species have been recorded here! After a swim at the superb pool and lunch, go on a game drive in the most delightful of Tanzanian Parks. Two more game drives are planned for the following Day.

Day 4/5: Ngorongoro
After an early breakfast drive to the lush Ngorongoro Highlands, have lunch at Kifaru Farm, then drive to the wonderful Ngorongoro Crater, one of the wonders of the natural world and a vast superbowl where the largest permanent concentration of African game is on display. Your first sighting of the crater will simply take your breath away.

The crater walls are forested but 4x4 vehicles will take you down into this primeval paradise of woodland, lake, river, swamp and plain that shelters around 20,000 animals. A full Day game drive with picnic is taken inside the crater the next Day, followed by a complimentary sundowner at dusk.

Day 6/7: Serengeti

After an early morning breakfast, set off for Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge where the Leakeys found some of the oldest hominid remains.

Arrive for lunch at the deluxe Sopa Lodge with exquisite views of the surrounding Serengeti plains and a beautiful pool. After lunch set off on a thrilling game drive with your expert driver/guide

The 14,763 square kilometres of the Serengeti are probably most famous for being the southern end of the Great Wildebeeste Migration. The lion are abundant, the leopard are plentiful (yet still secretive) and black rhino and cheetah both breed here.

We conduct two more game drives the following Day. In the evening enjoy a complimentary sundowner as the night envelops the Serengeti.
